WINNIPEG – The province is reporting six deaths today from COVID-19, four of them in Winnipeg.

There are 59 new cases of the virus, including 21 in Winnipeg.

1,573 cases are active, 27,985 people have recovered, for a total of 30,417 cases so far.

255 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 34 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 5.2 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 4.1. 1,610 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 493,825 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 859.
