61-Year-Old Woman Tells Would be Robber, No

PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE – Thursday evening RCMP in Portage la Prairie received a call about an attempted robbery in the parking lot of a bank on Saskatchewan Avenue East.

A 61-year-old woman was walking to her vehicle when a man demanded money. She refused and the man then acted as if he was aiming a gun at her. He continued to demand money, but the woman refused and he left empty-handed.

The man is described as approximately 5’8″, larger build, wearing a dark coloured winter coat with a hood.
