WINNIPEG – The province is reporting eight deaths today from COVID-19, six of them in Winnipeg.

There are 133 new cases of the virus, including 29 in Winnipeg.

3,456 cases are active, 24,851 people have recovered, for a total of 29,128 cases so far.

277 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 37 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 8.7 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 5.4. 2,263 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 471,624 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 821.
