WINNIPEG – The province is reporting eight deaths today from COVID-19, five of them in Winnipeg.

There are also 92 new cases of the virus, including 44 in Winnipeg.

3,100 cases are active, 22,692 people have recovered, for a total of 26,540 cases so far.

138 Manitobans with coronavirus are in hospital right now, 21 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 10.1 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 8.4. 1,368 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 441,905 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 748.
