WINNIPEG – Winnipeg police arrested a 27-year-old man who is facing multiple weapons and drug trafficking charges.
Police said on September 21st around 10:45 AM they stopped a grey 2000 Subaru Legacy traveling at a high rate of speed, northbound on Highway 52.
The driver of the vehicle was in possession of 61 grams of Cocaine and placed under arrest.
That same date, Winnipeg Police obtained a search warrant for the man’s home. With the help from the Steinbach RCMP, the search warrant was executed at a home in Mitchell.
At the home police seized five firearms, including a loaded .357 handgun and four long guns.
The 27-year-old man from Mitchell, has been charged with:
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations X4
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
