WINNIPEG – Police have identified a 35-year-old man who was fatally shot in Winnipeg Wednesday morning.

Police say they responded to a report of a man shot shortly before 2:00 AM near Flora Avenue and McKenzie Street.

The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead a short time later.

Police have identified the victim as Kenneth Wood, a 35-year-old man from Winnipeg.
