A 39 and 16-Year-Old Shot During Brandon Robbery

BRANDON – A 61-year-old man from Calgary was charged Thursday afternoon for two counts of attempted murder after a shooting in Brandon.

It’s believed that an alleged Robbery escalated with a shotgun being produced and shots being fired in the 200 Block of Highland Avenue.

Police say two people were shot , a 39-year-old man who was taken to Brandon Hospital for treatment and a 16-year-old girl who was taken to the Health Sciences Centre with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The gun used has been recovered.

The man, who is in custody at this time, was also charged with with Discharging a Firearm with Intent and Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration.

Brandon Police continue to investigate.
