A Cache of Weapons Found in Home on Ellice Ave.

WINNIPEG, MB – A man worried for his own safety calls Winnipeg Police on Monday afternoon which leads to three people charged and the seizure of weapons and ammunition.

After the man’s call at around 12:50 PM Monday, Police went to a home in the 500 block of Ellice Avenue. Officers found three people in the home believed to be responsible for the threats and a number of weapons including:

  • Two sawed-off firearms, wrapped in red bandanas
  • Baseball bat with a red bandana attached
  • Large sharpened animal jawbone with a sling and taped handle
  • Two hatchets, one wrapped with a red bandana
  • Black handled sword
  • Numerous rounds of .22 caliber ammunition
  • Numerous 12 gauge shotgun shells

The three charged by Winnipeg police are; Harold Wilkie Mace, 27 years old, of Winnipeg, with:

  • Possess Weapon X9
  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
  • Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance X4
  • Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order X9
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized X5

Allison Danielle Parent, 31-years-old, of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

  • Possess Weapon X9
  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition X3
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm

Gwen Ginelle Ross, 22-year-old, of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
  • Possess Weapon X9
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition X3
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm

Police confirmed that all three remain in custody.
