A Little Break in the Frigid Weather for Manitoba

WINNIPEG, MB. – The extreme cold continues today in Winnipeg and most of Manitoba but, it will warm up slightly, because wind chills will drop in the province during the week.

Winnipeg will have mostly sunny skies tomorrow with the wind becoming northwest 20 km/h in the morning. The high for Wednesday will be around minus 22 and with the wind chill it will feel like minus 36. Thursday and Friday we’ll have highs around minus 24.

The high in Thompson will reach minus 27 but, the wind chill will make it feel like minus 40 today. Sunshine for the entire week with highs near minus 27 Wednesday to Friday.

Snow is in the forecast for Winkler later in the week, both Thursday and Friday with warmer temperatures, near minus 22. Today however, it’s going to be like the rest of Manitoba, a high of minus 22 and with the wind chill it will feel like minus 38.

Some good news, the extended forecast for Manitoba does show it warming up for the start of January.
