Air 1 Tracks Break-In Suspects and Leads to Three Arrests

WINNIPEG – Air 1 tracked a vehicle containing suspects in a break and enter until ground units were able to assist in apprehending them.

Winnipeg police received a report of a break and enter in progress at a business on Portage Avenue at about 1:00 am on April 9. Air 1 was able to respond immediately and observed that the front door of the business was smashed in and a a person was leaving the building and getting into a car.

Air 1 tracked the vehicle until a ground unit caught up with it and stopped it. There were three people in the car along with stolen items and all three were placed under arrest.

The three suspects were also found to have broken into another business on Portage Avenue and had taken money from a cash tray.

A 25-year-old female of Winnipeg has been arrested for Break, Enter & Theft X2 and released on a Promise to Appear.

25 year-old Jory Paul Bryce Johnson has been charged with Break, Enter & Theft X2, Identity Fraud – Intent to Gain Advantage and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

28 year-old Nickolas Walter Combot has been charged with:

Break, Enter & Theft X 7

Theft Under $5000 X14

Robbery

Possession of a Weapon

Fail to Comply with Condition of Recognizance
