WINNIPEG – A home on Alfred Avenue suffered extensive damage after a fire early this morning.
Fire crews responded to the blaze in the vacant home at around 2:30 AM. When they arrived they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home. The homes on either side were temporarily evacuated as a precaution and it was declared under control at around 4:15 AM.
No one was found in the home and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. While damage estimates are not available at this time, the house suffered extensive fire, smoke, and water damage.
