Armed Man Threatens Pedestrians at Graham and Donald

WINNIPEG – A Winnipeg man repeatedly pointed a gun and threatened pedestrians and drivers in his vicinity on March 29th.

The incident occurred at 1:30 pm at Donald and Graham where witnesses say that he pointed a firearm at a passing car. He then repeatedly pulled the gun in and out of his pocket and pointed it at pedestrians and at his own head.

As he continued walking, the suspect turned to another pedestrian and made a threatening hand gesture across his throat.

Police arrived quickly and took him into custody. They also seized a Co2 handgun and ammunition that he had in his possession.

20 year-old James Alexander Macdonald has been charged with possessing a weapon, pointing a firearm, uttering threats, common nuisance, use of a firearm during commission of an indictable offence, and carrying a concealed weapon.

He has been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
