BRANDON, MB – Brandon Police arrested a 27 year old man in connection to a car-jacking at gunpoint that took place March 14th the city.

Police arrested the man as he left his home in the 200 Block of 24th Street for Robbery with a Weapon, Assault with a Weapon, Pointing a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm and Flight from Police.

Police identified the man as the suspect responsible for robbing a vehicle from a woman at gunpoint in the early morning of March 14th on Cornell Bay. The suspect then took off in the vehicle and led Police on a high-speed chase, which officers stopped, as the driving behaviour of the suspect became a risk to public safety.
