WINNIPEG – Police say they have arrested a teenage boy after last week’s fatal stabbing in downtown Winnipeg of a 14 year old girl.

Investigators say the girl was stabbed Friday afternoon following an argument with a someone who was known to her.

She was rushed to hospital in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery but later died.

Cops say the 17 year old was picked up on Monday and has been charged with second degree murder.
