WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Police have charged a man with 2nd Degree Murder regarding the assault and eventual death of 31 year-old Dexter Cortavista Dejarisco.

Dexter was shot on January 7 at a home on Burrows Avenue. He was taken to hospital in critical condition and on January 15 he succumbed to his injuries. 34 year-old Benny Lance Hansen initially was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and various firearms offences.

He has now been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
