WINNIPEG – The province has changed its mind and beverage rooms in the city can now open up again after being closed for just a day.
The change of heart comes after discussions with the Manitoba Hotel Association.
Beverage rooms which are food and drink establishments connected to hotels will still have to operate at half capacity like restaurants and lounges.
Beverage room operators say it’s still going to be a very difficult time but at least their doors are open.
Large entertainment facilities like casinos and bingo halls must remain closed for the next two weeks in an attempt to get Winnipeg’s COVID-19 cases under control.
