Bison’s Basketball Play UBC in the Canada West Quarter-finals

WINNIPEG, MB – The Manitoba Bison men’s basketball team travels to play UBC in Canada West Quarter-final best-of-three playoff series.

The first game is today, game two is Friday and if necessary there is a game scheduled for Saturday. The start times for first two games is 6 p.m. CT and the Saturday game is 5 p.m. CT

During this season, Manitoba and UBC did not meet in conference action.

Both teams faced off in 2017 playoffs in the CW Quarter-final best-of-three series at UBC and the Herd won in two games (W 79-75 on Feb. 23/17; W 98-96 in 1st OT on Feb. 24/17).

Manitoba is on a three game winning streak as they swept the Fraser Valley Cascades (W 67-46 on Feb. 2; W 82-66 on Feb. 3) to end CW regular season and then beat Brandon in the playoffs.

The Bison’s went 6-3 on the road in the CW regular season and equaled their regular season win total (12) from last season.

Manitoba seeks to advance to their third consecutive conference semi final with a series win versus UBC.
