Blowing Snow Advisory

WINNIPEG – Environment Canada has issued a blowing snow advisory for Winnipeg. Most of southern Manitoba is under a winter storm warning. Some areas have blizzard warnings.

A northeast wind will pick up tonight and gust to 70 kilometres an hour. The same tomorrow.

Snow is expected to start falling this morning and it should continue through tomorrow. Look for the heaviest snow and blowing tonight. Anywhere from 15 to 25 centimetres is possible

Things will clear off and get colder tomorrow with the temperature dropping to -22 in the afternoon. Wind chills could reach -36.
