BRANDON, MB. – Police received a report of a theft of a snowmobile and a trailer from 2nd Street North between 6:00 – 8:30 AM Monday March 12. It is a green 2009 Arctic Cat SnoPro and the trailer is double-wide with license plate CLG316.

As a result of a Crime stopper’s tip and further investigation, a now 28 year old male was identified as having burned a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu back in 2011. The arson took place at Governor’s Gate apartments on Regent Crescent. On Monday, the accused was arrested for the arson, and was released to appear in court on May 7th.

A 47 year old female from Edmonton went to the Police Service and requested assistance in obtaining prescription medication. A records check showed that she was the subject of an apprehension order issued by a facility in Edmonton. She was taken into custody and transported to an appropriate care facility, and will subsequently be transported back to Edmonton.

A 21 year old female was stopped in the early hours of the morning on Rosser Avenue. She was identified as a suspect in two recent thefts of product from SuperStore. The suspect initially falsely identified herself during the investigation, and it was determined that she was failing to comply with a Probation Order by attending to the store. The accused was held at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in Court today facing charges of theft under $5000 (x2), public mischief, and failing to comply with probation order.
