Brandon Crime Report – March 7

BRANDON, MB – Brandon police responded to a domestic assault, picked up a drunk man who as it turns out, was wanted by police and two semi trucks were on fire on Industrial Boulevard.

Police responded to a home in the 1500 Block of 26th Street for a domestic disturbance. Police learned that an intoxicated man pushed his girlfriend during the dispute. The 48-year-old male was arrested for Domestic Assault and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober.

Police went to a home in the 700 Block of 10th Street because a man was passed out. The highly intoxicated man gave police a false name, but when his identity was learned, the man had an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for being Unlawfully at Large. The 30-year-old man from Brandon was arrested.

Police and Brandon Fire responded to a report of a vehicle on fire parked at a business in the 100 Block of Industrial Boulevard. A Semi truck parked near the building was fully engulfed in flames and a second Semi Truck parked beside the first also caught on fire. Brandon Fire members extinguished both fires. The cause of the fire is still under investigation however it is not considered suspicious at this time.
