Brandon Man and Woman Facing Multiple Firearms Charges

BRANDON – A Brandon police investigation has ended with a man and woman from the city facing multiple charges.

The investigation started following a complaint of the theft of 15 firearms from a Brandon residence earlier this month.

Police said a 34 year-old woman and a 34 year-old man, both from Brandon, were arrested Tuesday and charged with multiple offences.

They are facing the following charges: unauthorized possession of a firearm (x15); unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm (x15); unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle (x15); unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition (x15).

The woman also faces 15 counts of possession of property obtained by crime, while the man faces 15 counts of theft under $5000.

Brandon Police said the investigation is ongoing and now extends outside of Brandon; therefore no further information will be released at this time.
