WINNIPEG, MB – Brandon Police recovered a stolen vehicle, executed a few warrants and charged a 49-year-old apartment manager with theft.
Tuesday police received a call of an abandoned vehicle in a parking lot in the 2600 Block of Victoria Avenue. There, they recovered a brown 2001 Pontiac Montana van that was reported stolen from the RM of Pipestone MB on February 4th.
At approximately 8:40 a.m., Police went to a home on Garwood Drive for a disturbance. A 16-year-old female youth was located and found to have an outstanding Warrant of Arrest. The female was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court.
Around 9:00 a.m., police arrested a 21-year-old man from Brandon at his home on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Attend Court. The man was released to attend Court in March.
At approximately 10:50 a.m., police stopped a vehicle in the 2000 Block of Brandon Avenue, the driver had a DNA Warrant. The 39-year-old man from Brandon was arrested, processed and released from custody.
On Tuesday afternoon, a 35-year-old Brandon man turned himself in at the Court House for having an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Mischief Under $5000.
It was reported to police, on January 16th 2018, by an employee of a business in the 900 Block of Victoria Avenue that a male suspect stole merchandise and fled the store. Police obtained the video surveillance and were able to identify the 36-year-old man from Brandon who was arrested for Theft Under $5000.
On January 29th 2018, police began an investigation after receiving a report that the manager of an apartment complex stole a snow blower and money from laundry room machines. During the investigation, police learned the man was in possession of a stolen utility trailer. The 49-year-old man from Winnipeg was arrested for Theft Under $5000 X2 and Possession of Stolen Property.
