Brandon Police Charge Impaired Driver at 4 Times the Legal Limit

BRANDON, MB – Brandon police had a busy 24 hours. they charge Two people wee charged with impaired driving with one four times over the legal limit. A man opened a bank account with fraudulent cheques over $10,000, and a man from Carberry was arrested for slashing tires.

Around 10:00 a.m., Police found a female passed out behind the wheel of a van while it was running. The female’s breath samples were in excess of the legal limit. The 52-year-old female from Brandon was arrested.

Then around 4:00 p.m., Police received a report that a man left a business in the Corral Center driving a vehicle and appeared impaired. At 4:16 pm, Officers located the vehicle in the 1100 Block of 26th Street. The male driver of the vehicle was found to be highly intoxicated. His breath samples were in excess of 4 times the legal limit. The 31-year-old man was transported to the hospital where he was cleared medically.

On October 26th of last year Police received a report from a Brandon bank that someone opened an account and deposited fraudulent cheques in the amount of $11,900. After an investigation police arrested a 31-year-old man from Wawanessa.

A 23-year-old man from Carberry was arrested on Sunday evening because of an ongoing investigation from February 11th where tires of a vehicle parked on Dreiger Bay were slashed.
