Bridge Coming Down

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – A piece of Manitoba history is coming down.

A railway bridge west of La Riviere is being dismantled more than a century after it went up.

Debbie Booker’s family farms the land next to the bridge and she says it’s sad to see it go.

The bridge, built in 1886, is as old as the town itself.

Rail service to the community ended years ago.
