WINNIPEG – City police had a crazy weekend. Officers responded to almost two dozen separate incidents in a 24 hour period.

It all started Saturday morning around 11 o’clock when a woman was stabbed on Pacific Avenue. She’ll be okay and a suspect has been charged with aggravated assault.

21 more calls, all of them serious, came in by early yesterday morning including 14 for reports of gunfire.

The cops point out that these types of calls are very resource-intensive.
