WINNIPEG – A vehicle that was left running, was stolen from a restaurant on Main Street by a man disguised in a wig, hat and sunglasses.
Police found the vehicle a short time later parked at a home on Lansdowne Avenue and tried to arrest the man. He became aggressive and after a brief struggle the officer deployed his Taser which was ineffective.
The suspect then removed his upper clothing and was Tasered a second time, but again it didn’t slow him down. He ran into the home and tried to hide but was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
