WINNIPEG – 28 of the city’s 39 personal care homes have COVID-19 outbreaks, some of them severe.

159 people who work at the homes are currently fighting the virus.

Because many employees are self-isolating or awaiting test results at home, staffing in these facilities is very challenged right now.

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority says other PCH workers and community health providers have been redeployed to fill the gaps.
