Cases Spike Up North

WINNIPEG – There’s been a spike in COVID-19 cases in Manitoba, mostly because of outbreaks in the Northern Health Region.

More than half of yesterday’s 261 new cases were in the north in communities like Thompson and Lynn Lake.

That part of the province has become a hotspot for coronavirus of late with more active cases than Winnipeg which up until now has been the area hardest hit.
