WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Firefighters battled a fire in a one-and-a-half storey, single-family home on Bowman Avenue.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available, but initial reports indicate the home sustained damage from fire, smoke, and water..

Officials said all occupants were out of the home before the crew arrival. One patient was taken to hospital in stable condition. Firefighters did rescue the occupants’ cats and dogs and reunited them with their owners.
