MANITOBA – A 22-year-old man has been charged in the death of a 57-year-old woman found assaulted in a home on June 22, 2018.
Police in Berens River responded to a report of an injured woman at a home within the community.
Upon arrival, they found the woman, 57-years-old from Berens River with serious injuries sustained during an assault. She was taken to the hospital in Winnipeg in serious condition. On September 26, 2018, she died from her injuries.
On October 19th Mounties with the Manitoba RCMP’s Major Crime Services arrested and charged Anthony McKay, a 22-year-old man from Berens River, with Manslaughter.
Anthony McKay was already in custody at the time of the arrest and he has been remanded back into custody.
