WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Firefighters battled a fire Christmas Day on Furby Street.

At approximately 8:24 PM on Wednesday, December 25, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a fire in a three-storey multi-family building in the 400 block of Furby Street.

When crews arrived they encountered flames and smoke coming from the building. Firefighters acted quickly and de lared the fire under control at 8:39 PM.

All occupants safely left the building prior to Fire crews arriving. Officials said there were no injuries reported.

No damage estimates are available. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
