WINNIPEG, MB. – It’s a hat-trick for NHL First Star of the Week honours for the Winnipeg Jets!

Jet’s net-minder, Connor Hellebuyck, has been named the NHL first Star of the Week. Previous Jets to have that honour are, Blake Wheeler and Nikolaj Ehlers.

Hellebuyck certainly finished off 2017 with a star worthy performance with a 35 save shutout in Edmonton on New Year’s Eve. Hellebuyck has had wins on Friday against the Islanders and was the game’s First Star.

Hellebuych is scheduled, at this point, to start for the Jets in Colorado on tonight (Tuesday).
