Cornwallis Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In to Police

CARBERRY – The suspect in the shooting of a 45 year-old man from Corwallis, Manitoba has turned himself into police.

36 year-old Nicholas Peters and a 23 year-old female initially brought the shooting victim to hospital on August 30. Further investigation led to his warrant for arrest on charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Careless Use of a Firearm, Discharge Firearm with Intent.

On September 4, 2019, Nicholas Peters turned himself in to police. He was remanded into custody and appeared in court yesterday.

The victim remains in hospital in stable condition.
