COVID At Care Homes Improving

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – COVID-19 cases are starting to come down at personal care homes. That from Manitoba chief nursing officer Lanette Siragusa.

Of the 43 current outbreaks at PCH’s, 25 have two or fewer active cases. 16 of them have no active cases but they are still considered outbreaks because of the incubation period.

Siragusa says there’s still lots of work to do but things have definitely stabilized.

Coronavirus is also improving at hospitals and correctional facilities. Siragusa says there are 15 outbreaks at 11 health care facilities, while five correction centres in the province are dealing with outbreaks.
