COVID In Restaurants & Bars

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – Manitoba’s chief public health officer has a warning as COVID-19 cases continue to spike, especially here in Winnipeg.

Dr. Brent Roussin says we need to take more precautions when dealing with other people.

He points to how half of the positive cases in recent weeks involve individuals who have been to a restaurant or bar.

According to Roussin, it’s mostly young people going to restaurants and bars.

In one case, a person infected with the virus had 36 close contacts.
