WINNIPEG – A 67 year-old man, was knocked unconscious when he attempted to intervene in a theft at the Fort Richmond Liquor Mart.

The victim was a customer inside the store at about 10:50 PM on February 1. He noticed a theft taking place and when he tried to stop them he was struck on the head with a bottle of liquor.

He suffered minor injuries and declined medical assistance at the time.
