PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE – A 17 year-old Portage La Prairie youth is wanted in connection with a series of assaults with bear mace in two different homes.

His sprayed his first victims with the bear mace on Spruce Bay, but fled before police arrived. As they were investigating the incident, 911 call began arriving advising that the same suspect was assaulting people with bear mace at a home on 6th Street NE.

Police are searching for 17-year-old, Wyatt Martin-French from Portage La Prairie. He is described as 5’5”, 135 lbs, slender build, with black hair and brown eyes.

He is wanted for Assault with a Weapon x 5, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of a prohibited Weapon, Weapons Possession contrary to an order x 4, Mischief and Fail to Comply with undertaking x 3.

He is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
