PORT AUX BASQUES, N.L. — A dash cam video showing a frightening near−miss on Newfoundland’s west coast is getting a lot of views online.
In the video, a pickup truck can be seen attempting to pass a vehicle on a solid yellow line, narrowly avoiding an oncoming tractor−trailer.
Despite wet conditions, the pickup truck appears to accelerate before zipping back into the right−hand lane as a car moves to the shoulder to make room.
The video is dated from last week, and its GPS co−ordinates indicate the near−miss came on the Trans−Canada Highway north of Port aux Basques.
The video has been viewed more than 80,000 times, gathering over 100 comments.
