DEADLY SNOWBIRDS CRASH

Manitoba Post StaffNational News

WINNIPEG – Less than a week after the Snowbirds flew over our city, there’s been a deadly crash.

One member of the Canadian Forces team was killed and another was injured when a Snowbird plane went down yesterday in a residential area of Kamloops, BC.

Captain Jenn Casey, a public affairs officer from Halifax, died in the crash, while the pilot, Captain Richard MacDougall, is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No word yet on what may have happened but there’s been discussion for years about the age and condition of the Tutor jets flown by the Snowbirds.

This is just the latest tragedy to impact Nova Scotia directly in the last several weeks.

The Snowbirds were on a cross-Canada tour to inspire Canadians during the CoVid-19 pandemic.
