WINNIPEG – Dr. Brian Penner was the first Manitoban to get the new COVID-19 vaccine.
He says he’s extremely lucky to be able to get the shot.
Penner who works in internal medicine at Health Sciences Centre says he’s grateful he will now be able to keep his intensive care patients safe.
He will get his second dose of the Pfizer vaccine in a few weeks, along with about 900 other frontline health care workers.
