WINNIPEG – A neighbor has rescued two dogs from a burning house in River Heights.

Taren Gesell is being called a hero for saving the dogs on Borebank Street just after five o’clock last night.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries but they were not taken to hospital for treatment.

There is no damage estimate yet and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
