WINNIPEG – Two men were arrested early Tuesday morning after a security firm watching them on video surveillance called police.
On July 23rd around 5:10 AM police responded to a commercial break and enter at a construction site on Sterling Lyon Parkway.
When Officers arrived they saw a suspect vehicle attempting to leave the scene. The vehicle then turned into the driveway of a home on Kestrel Street. Two men got out of the vehicle, claiming they were there to do work on the home. Both men were arrested and taken into custody.
Police said they believe that the two men were at the construction site while wearing high-visibility construction clothing and concealing their faces. Together, they broke into a fenced site and stole approximately $15,000 worth of tools and building materials.
All of the stolen property from the construction site was recovered from within the vehicle.
Police said Ryan Jerry Joseph Danis, a 37-year-old man from Winnipeg, has been charged with:
- Break Enter & Theft – Place
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Break In Instrument(s)
And Rickie Allen Brown, a 31-year-old man from Winnipeg, has been charged with:
- Break Enter & Theft – Place
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Break In Instrument(s)
