WINNIPEG, MB – Winnipeg Police seize 221 pot plants valued at approximately $248,000 from a home in River Heights.

Yesterday police with help from the Tactical Support Team and Street Crime Unit, executed two warrants in the North River Heights area, that resulted in the seizure of the following items:

• 221 cannabis marihuana plants in various stages of growth with a street value of approximately $248,000.00
• 1/2 lb cannabis marihuana, packaged, with a street value of approximately $1,200.00
• Grow operation equipment valuing approximately $29,800.00

Police arrested two individuals, a 41-year-old man and a 35-year-old female for producing and trafficking cannabis marihuana. They have been released on a Promise to Appear.
