WINNIPEG – A young pedestrian that was struck by a car while crossing Sargent at a crosswalk has now died as a result of her injuries and the driver who struck her may face charges.
The pedestrian, who was in her 20’s was crossing the street on July 31 just before 2:00 P.M. on Sargent at Simcoe Street. She was struck by a vehicle heading westbound. She was taken to hospital in critical condition and has now succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, an 89-year-old male of Winnipeg, was arrested at the scene and may face charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
