WINNIPEG, MB. – A man in his 20’s driving a stolen car is in critical condition after hitting a Winnipeg bus yesterday.

The accident happened at the intersection of Osborne Street South and Woodward Avenue on Friday around 1: 30 AM.

Police said in a release, that a City of Winnipeg transit bus was travelling northbound on Osborne St. when a southbound car, a subcompact, veered into the front of the bus. The driver, a man in his 20’s, was taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition. The bus driver was treated and released.

Winnipeg police confirmed in the release, that they determined that the car had been stolen a short time earlier from a location on Pembina Highway.
