Drug Trafficker Arrested with $500,000 of Illicit Drugs

WINNIPEG – Two people have been arrested and charged with drug trafficking after the Organized Crime Unit execute two search warrants. One at a home on Leisure Bay and the other at a storage locker on Lowson Crescent.

One of the suspects, when searched, was found to be in possession of of $630 cash, an ASP baton and a knife.

A search of the home led to the seizure of $30,000 in cash, score sheets, scales and packaging material, ammunition, 1-ounce cocaine, street value $2000.00, and ½ ounce methamphetamine, street value $400.00

A search of the storage space led to the seizure of 1 kilo of fentanyl, street value $400,000.00, 1 kilo of methamphetamine, street value $100,000.00 and 20 ounces of powder cocaine, street value $40,000.00

37 year-old Stephen Kenneth Johnston has been charged with:

Poss of a Weapon X2

He was detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.

28 year-old Jennifer Ashley has been charged with:
