BRANDON, MB – Brandon police have been kept busy, they arrested three people that had outstanding warrants, charged a 41 year old for theft, and a 28 year old man for domestic assault.
On Wednesday evening, Police went to a home in the 200 Block of 5th Street for a disturbance. A female was identified as the cause of the disturbance and was found to have an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Assault. The 26-year-old female from Brandon was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center. The suspect is scheduled to appear in Court on Thursday.
A 25-year-old man from Brandon was arrested on Wednesday evening for having an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Appear for Finger Prints. The man was released, to attend Court in March.
At approximately 12:10 a.m., Police responded to a residence in the 200 Block of Rosser Avenue for a report of an intoxicated female causing problems. A 45-year-old female from Brandon was found to have an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Assault with a Weapon, Carry a Firearm in a Careless Manner and Possession of a Prohibited Firearm. The female was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center. She is scheduled to appear in Court on Thursday.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., an employee of a business in the 900 Block of Victoria Avenue reported apprehending an intoxicated male for attempting to steal $61 worth of merchandise. The man was also found to be the subject of a Probation Order with a condition to not attend the business. The 41-year-old man from Brandon was arrested for theft Under $5000 and Breach of Probation.
On Wednesday morning, a female reported to Police that her ex- boyfriend assaulted her a couple of weeks ago by punching her in the head. The victim did not receive any physical injuries because of the Assault. On Wednesday afternoon, Police located the 28-year-old male suspect and arrested him for Domestic Assault. The male was released and is scheduled to appear in Court in March.
