WINNIPEG – A 19 year old man is accused of impaired driving after police say a car ran a red light and collided with an ambulance in Winnipeg.

Investigators say the ambulance was on its way to a call early Saturday morning when the collision spun it around and damaged it badly.

The occupants of the car were transported to hospital and later released, while the paramedics were assessed at the scene.
