PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE – A 67-year-old man died when his semi rolled over Saturday on Trans-Canada.

When Mounties arrived on scene they found an overturned semi in the median ditch just past the Portage la Prairie bridge by-pass. The driver of the vehicle, a 67-year-old male from East St. Paul, was found partially ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the preliminary investigation has determined that the semi with trailer was heading westbound and had just crossed the bridge when it went into the median ditch and rolled.

The investigation is ongoing.
