ROBLIN, MB. – The RCMP responded to a fatal house fire early in the morning on Boxing day in the community of Roblin, Manitoba.
When officers arrived, they learned of an 85-year-old man that was still in the burning home. Firefighters did locate an unresponsive man and carried him outside. First responders worked to revive the man but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
There was one other person in the home, a 58 year old female, who made it out safely before firefighters arrived and was not injured.
Police said in a news release, “The Office of the Fire Commissioner has determined the cause of the fire to be accidental.”
